Reuters (10/13, Abutaleb, Levine) reported that on Friday, 18 states sued the Trump Administration in order to prevent President Trump from ending ACA subsidy payments to insurers. The article said these subsidies “help millions of low-income people pay medical expenses.” These states include “California, Connecticut, Delaware, Kentucky, Illinois, Iowa, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, Virginia and Washington state.” The piece added that the American Medical Association “said it was ‘deeply discouraged’” by Trump’s move.
